Paramount Pictures has collaborated with Atlanta-based investment company Domain Capital Group to jointly win at least 30 films, automatically expanding to 40 films under certain circumstances. Although companies do not share details about the percentages offered by some of Finance Domain Capital on each project, the films covered by this transaction span multiple genres and budget levels.
Domain Capital has already raised joint funding for children’s content Sonic Hedgehog 3 (Photo) from Paramount Pictures, released during the holiday season. Based on the Sonic Video Game brand, the film has already generated US$472 million on global ticket sales against a budget of US$122 million.
The upcoming Paramount Project, which will be subject to this 30-picture transaction, is Smurfa live-action/CG animated film adaptation of the classic comic book IP created by Belgian author Peyo, scheduled for release on July 18th.

The contract with Paramount is consistent with the domain’s ongoing strategy of keeping out longer-term partnerships.
