The world’s busiest holiday is rapidly approaching, but the world’s best streaming services aren’t slowing down for this year’s winter-themed celebrations. In fact, many of them are still releasing new movies and TV shows for us to enjoy, and Netflix has seven new titles to watch this weekend.
That’s enough to fill Netflix’s streaming list this week on its own, but in the interest of fairness, I’ll only highlight three of them in this article. The rest is reserved for four other movies and series that are not to be missed (for better or worse), but unfortunately for fans of Elton John and Bookie, this time the former Disney Neither Plath’s documentary nor the latter’s second season secured a spot. Still, you’re sure to find something worth streaming in our picks below. enjoy! – Tom Power, Senior Entertainment Reporter
Carry On (Netflix)
watch on
If airport security wasn’t tight enough, the last new Netflix movie, Carry On, released in December, thanks to the evil Jason Bateman who promises to ruin everyone’s Christmas this year. , making airport security even more difficult.
Look forward to Die Hard’s Bruce Willis replacing modern-day action hero Taron Egerton as young TSA agent Ethan in this festive thriller. During a nightmarish airport shift, Ethan’s day takes a deadly turn when a mysterious passenger threatens to bring dangerous luggage onto a Christmas Eve flight. In a year full of car crashes and gunfights, Carry On is definitely on my Christmas viewing list, and with an 82% review score on Rotten Tomatoes, it’s on my list of the best movies on Netflix. may be added.

Dream Productions (Disney Plus)
watch on
As if Disney and Pixar didn’t already have one of the biggest animated hits of all time, one of the best movies on Disney Plus is getting a new spin-off series that’s sure to please Inside Head 2 fans.
Pixar’s first original series, “Win or Lose,” was originally scheduled for release in December but was moved to February next year, and Dream Productions arrived on the service on Wednesday. Set between Inside Head and the sequel, we return to Riley’s mind and meet the team behind her dream. Like the movie business, it’s a serious dream-making production, with comedies, action, horrifying nightmares, and more requiring different directors. It’s sure to earn a special spot on our list of the best shows on Disney Plus.

Joker: Folie à Deux (Max)
watch on
Given that the first Joker movie won two Oscars, DC fans around the world were excited for its sequel. Unfortunately, the reaction to Joker: Folie à Deux was mostly negative. So if you’ve been waiting to see this on streaming instead of paying for a movie ticket, it made its Max debut just two months after its original theatrical run.
Considering how badly criticized this has been, I won’t be adding it to my roundup of the best Max movies. However, movies are subjective, so while some people may enjoy this movie, it may go against the general consensus. And if you want to revisit the original, which is admittedly very good, it’s also streaming on the same platform.

Secret Level (Prime Video)
watch on
Fresh from leading the development of Netflix’s R-rated sci-fi anthology series Love, Death, and Robots, Tim Miller and the masterminds at Blur Studios teamed up with Prime Video and a number of other animation studios to create Secret Level. I made it. An anthology series comprised of non-canon stories set in the world of popular video game series, Secret Level hopes to entertain the masses and convince them to give titles like New World, Sifu, and Warhammer 40K a try. The purpose is Pac-Man has been a rock favorite over the past 40 years.
Unfortunately, Secret Level isn’t all that great. I watched all 15 episodes, and while I can vouch for how gorgeous some of them look and the interesting stories they tell, many of them are empty, cash-grabbing ads. It looks like. One entry is only four minutes long, but for crying out loud – it could have been more creative with their art style and innovative with their storytelling. Don’t expect this to appear on Prime Video’s Best Shows list anytime soon.

I Don’t Do Good Things (Netflix)
watch on
After seeing the trailer for No Good Deed, I knew it was a dark comedy that I couldn’t wait to watch. From the creators of Dead to Me, one of Netflix’s best shows, the series follows three disparate families as they compete to buy the same 1920s Spanish-style villa in LA. But their dream home may not be so perfect after all.
If The White Lotus can create an acclaimed show about wealthy people visiting a hotel, Netflix has a star-studded cast that could turn this seemingly ordinary setting into something special. will be successful.

Red One (Prime Video)
watch on
After watching this movie a few weeks ago, I concluded that Red One, while not perfect, proves that we need more action-packed Christmas movies. And if you want to replace your Hallmark romance with something perhaps even more ridiculous, I really recommend this story about a kidnapped Santa Claus and the people who rescue him and fight to save Christmas.
Admittedly, the Rotten Tomatoes score suggests it’s a pretty crappy production, but it’s still entertaining and features an impressive cast that includes Dwayne Johnson, Chris Evans, J.K. Simmons, and Lucy Liu. It has an ensemble cast. It’s currently streaming on Prime Video and could make a perfect double bill alongside Carry On.

One Hundred Years of Solitude (Netflix)
watch on
Netflix just made the impossible possible. Gabriel García Marque’s Noble Prize-winning novel “One Hundred Years of Solitude,” which was thought to be impossible to film, has been made into a movie for the first time as a 16-episode television series. The first eight of them are available now, with part two scheduled for release at an unconfirmed date.
Before you watch them (I know this is the opposite of streaming recommendations, but I’d like you not to just this time), I recommend reading the books first. This fantasy epic tells the story of a heroic family, experienced for the first time on its pages. According to the trailer, the Netflix adaptation promises to be authentic, and with the support of the author’s family, it’s an ambitious project that we hope will be as good as it looks.
