Our TV screens will be looking pretty starry this February. We’ve got Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren in 1923 Season 2; we’ve got Kate Hudson in Running Point; we’ve got the whole cast of The White Lotus Season 3, including Blackpink’s Lisa in her acting debut; and, drumroll please, we’ve got Robert De Niro taking on his first leading TV role in Zero Day. Finally, TV is De Niro approved.

Our guide to the best TV and streaming movies in February is divided into three sections: the best shows and movies to watch this month, the best shows to watch by streaming service, and a calendar of TV highlights. Whatever you’re looking for, you’ll find it below.

The best shows and movies to watch in February

Netflix

Apple Cider Vinegar (Feb. 6, Netflix)

Aur naur, another scammer. Adapted from Beau Donelly and Nick Toscano’s 2017 book The Woman Who Fooled the World, this series explores the true story of Australian Instagram influencer Belle Gibson (played here by Kaitlyn Dever) and her path to international fame after claiming that she cured her brain cancer with wellness remedies. The problem? She was never actually diagnosed with brain cancer. -Allison Picurro (Trailer)

SLY LIVES! (aka The Burden of Black Genius) (Feb. 13, Hulu)

Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson’s last music documentary, the Oscar-winning Summer of Soul, was so good that it earned him an automatic must-watch tag on his next project before we even knew what it was about. Fans of Summer of Soul, get ready, because Questlove’s new film, SLY LIVES!, is all about one of Summer of Soul’s most entertaining subjects: the funk, soul, and rock group Sly and the Family Stone. Whereas Summer of Soul focused on the 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival, SLY LIVES! will detail the legacy and influence of the “Everyday People” and “Family Affair” band. -Tim Surette (Trailer)

Yellowjackets Season 3 (Feb. 14, Paramount+ with Showtime)

Forget about a box of chocolates; Yellowjackets brings something darker to bite down on this Valentine’s Day. Season 2 ended with the gang feasting on Javi (Luciano Leroux) and the cabin going up in flames, not to mention a pair of Natalie-centric twists: In the ’90s, the teens crowned Natalie (Sophie Thatcher) their new queen, while in the present, adult Natalie (Juliette Lewis) was killed. Season 3 (which makes its streaming debut on Feb. 14 before airing Feb. 16 on Showtime) promises to dive into the aftermath of the rise and fall of Natalie. Plus, it welcomes a pair of new cast members in Hilary Swank and Joel McHale. Now, the real question: How much longer does Coach Ben (Steven Krueger) have to live? -Kelly Connolly (Trailer) (Everything to know about Yellowjackets Season 3)

The White Lotus Season 3 (Feb. 16, HBO)

Hold off on making those dead-of-winter getaway plans. HBO will take you on a virtual vacation to Thailand with the third season of Mike White’s Emmy-winning anthology series The White Lotus. Once again, scandal is afoot at a posh resort for the rich and libidinous, while the locals and hotel employees hold more power than you think. And as usual, the cast is absolutely loaded, with Walton Goggins, Carrie Coon, Parker Posey, Michelle Monaghan, Jason Isaacs, Leslie Bibb, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Blackpink’s Lisa, and series vet Natasha Rothwell. You may not get a tan, but you also won’t face the murder charges. -Tim Surette (Teaser) (Everything we know about The White Lotus Season 3)

Reacher Season 3 (Feb. 20, Prime Video)

The basic plot of Prime Video’s hit drama Reacher is essentially “a big guy kicks butt,” which may seem too simple to be good, but developer Nick Santora uses that as a canvas on which to paint heavy-hitting action and intriguing-enough mystery, often in the blood of the dummies who get in Reacher’s (Alan Ritchson) way. Season 3 will be based on Lee Child’s novel Persuader and change things up slightly as Reacher goes undercover as a goon for someone doing bad things. New cast members include Sonya Cassidy (Lodge 49), Anthony Michael Hall (The Breakfast Club), and Brian Tee (Expats), and Maria Sten returns as Reacher’s military buddy Frances Neagley. Reacher has quickly figured out the secrets to its success — punch somebody, say something funny, flex a bicep — and is all the better for it as one of TV’s most self-realized shows. -Tim Surette (Trailer) (Everything we know about Reacher Season 3)

A Thousand Blows (Feb. 21, Hulu)

Steven Knight, the creator of Peaky Blinders, isn’t a stranger to staging big fights in old-timey England in his shows. But his new series, A Thousand Blows, is almost exclusively about fisticuffs, as Knight explores the world of underground bare-knuckle boxing. The series follows a pair of Jamaican immigrants (Malachi Kirby and Francis Lovehall) who get sucked into unsanctioned scrappin’ by the leader of the Forty Elephants (Erin Doherty) and go up against a veteran boxer (Stephen Graham) who isn’t keen on giving up his crown. -Tim Surette (Trailer)

Zero Day (Feb. 20, Netflix)

OK, TV has finally officially arrived. Robert De Niro, pretty much Hollywood’s last A-list holdout, has given in and taken a series regular role on a television show. The conspiracy thriller Zero Day stars Bobby as a former U.S. president in charge of a government commission formed to find those responsible for a devastating cyber attack. Another reason to be excited: Zero Day boasts a Friday Night Lights reunion with Connie Britton and Jesse Plemons. The rest of the outstanding cast includes Angela Bassett, Matthew Modine, Dan Stevens, Joan Allen, and Lizzy Caplan. -Tim Surette (Trailer)

1923 Season 2 (Feb. 23, Paramount+)

Yellowstone may be done (or maybe not; won’t someone just tell us already?), so what are fans of the neo-Western supposed to do now? Watch one of Yellowstone’s many spin-offs, starting with the prequel series 1923, which is unequivocally a better quality television show than its more popular progenitor. The limited (to two seasons) series concludes with these final eight episodes following the Dutton ancestors as they try to protect their land in Montana. Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford star. -Tim Surette (Trailer) (Everything we know about 1923 Season 2)

Suits LA (Feb. 23, NBC)

Here’s a gift for Suits heads old and new: a spin-off! The new series follows former New York federal prosecutor Ted Black (Stephen Amell), who has reinvented himself at the Hollywood-based entertainment law firm Black Lane Law. But with his career in crisis and secrets from his past threatening to come to light, Ted is forced to do things he never dreamed of doing. And, yes, at least one of the original Suits cast members is set to appear: Gabriel Macht’s Harvey Specter, who is getting a three-episode arc. -Allison Picurro (Trailer) (Everything we know about Suits LA)

Running Point (Feb. 27, Netflix)

Kate Hudson stars in this Mindy Kaling-produced series as the ambitious yet overlooked Isla Gordon, who becomes president of the fictional NBA team the Los Angeles Waves after a scandal forces her brother (Justin Theroux) to resign. It’s sort of like if Shiv Roy got dropped into a Ted Lasso situation. The Other Two’s Drew Tarver also stars. -Allison Picurro (Trailer)

Netflix’s best new shows and movies in February

February is the shortest month of the year, but you’d never know it based on Netflix’s influx of new offerings. The biggest highlight of the month might just be the new political thriller series Zero Day, which marks Robert De Niro’s first major jump from film to television. There’s also the Kaitlyn Dever-starring scammer series Apple Cider Vinegar and the new Kate Hudson-starring, Mindy Kaling-produced comedy Running Point. Additionally, Cobra Kai will drop its final five episodes. And if none of that interests you, there’s a new season of Love Is Blind fittingly premiering on Valentine’s Day. It’s a “something for everyone” kind of month. Here’s our list of the best shows and movies on Netflix in February, plus everything coming to and leaving Netflix in February.

HBO and Max’s best new shows and movies in February

Even if you can’t book yourself a beautiful vacation in Thailand this winter, you can check out the new season of Mike White’s anthology The White Lotus, which not only features the return of Natasha Rothwell’s Belinda but also brings in a stellar new cast, including Walton Goggins, Carrie Coon, and Parker Posey. In terms of movies, the Max-A24 partnership continues as the Andrew Garfield-Florence Pugh romance We Live in Time lands on the streaming service. The live stage recording of Sara Bareilles’ Broadway hit Waitress: The Musical also drops on Max in February. Here’s our list of the best shows and movies on HBO and Max in February, plus everything coming to HBO and Max in February.

Hulu’s best new shows and movies in February

Who needs rom-coms this February? Hulu’s lineup for the month of Valentine’s Day is more sour than sweet, led by a pair of shows that aren’t afraid to throw punches. First, Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight’s new historical drama A Thousand Blows explores the world of underground boxing. Then, Canadian comedy Shoresy returns for a fourth season of hockey humor. (To be fair, nothing is more romantic to Canadians than hockey.) For something different, check out Questlove’s new music documentary SLY LIVES! (aka The Burden of Black Genius), which pulls back the curtain on Sly and the Family Stone. Here’s our list of the best shows and movies on Hulu in February, plus everything coming to Hulu in February.

Amazon Prime Video’s best new shows and movies in February

To say that Prime Video’s hit series Reacher is back and bigger than ever is not just hype. Reacher, the dude, is huge! And in Season 3, he gets to face off against someone even larger than he is. Fans of Lee Child’s books can’t wait to see Reacher take on Paulie, a 7-foot-tall behemoth with cinderblocks for hands and his own atmosphere around his head. The fight of the century begins Feb. 20, when Reacher Season 3 premieres. There are also a few originals coming that should catch your eye: the third season of Robert Kirkman’s animated superhero series Invincible; 50,000 First Dates: A True Story, a docuseries about a woman who suffers a brain injury and can no longer remember her fiancé; the comedy Clean Slate, starring George Wallace as a father who reconnects with his transgender daughter (Laverne Cox); and Newtopia, a Korean zombie drama starring Blackpink’s Jisoo. Here’s our list of the best shows and movies on Amazon Prime Video in February, plus everything coming to Prime Video in February.

Peacock’s new shows and movies in February

Is there anyone who needs Galentine’s Day more than Bridget Jones? The forever lovelorn character returns for a new film, the fourth in the Bridget Jones series, exclusive to Peacock on Feb. 13. In Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, Bridget (Renée Zellweger) is four years a widow but gives love another shot via dating apps, and she’s pursued by both a young beau (the in-demand Leo Woodall) and her son’s science teacher (Chiwetel Ejiofor). Elsewhere on the platform, Pharrell Williams’ animated biography Piece by Piece, which is told via Lego blocks, makes its streaming debut on Feb. 7. Here’s our list of everything coming to Peacock in February.

Paramount+’s new shows and movies in February

February may be the month for lovers, but this Valentine’s Day, opt to settle in for an intimate dinner with some teenage cannibals. Season 3 of Yellowjackets comes to Paramount+ with Showtime on Feb. 14, and we’re ready to feast on it. Plus, as one Taylor Sheridan show departs, another arrives. Landman wrapped up its first season in January, but the second season of the Yellowstone prequel 1923, starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, will premiere on Feb. 23. Here’s our list of everything coming to Paramount+ in February.

Tubi

Tubi’s new shows and movies in February

One of Tubi’s biggest swings in the world of original TV series is coming in February, and it might not make Gen Z too happy. In The Z-Suite, Gilmore Girls star Lauren Graham plays a Lauren Graham-aged advertising executive who gets canned after a mistake on the job and is replaced by the comically Gen-Z employees from the social media team. Out for revenge, Graham’s character and her trusty coworker (Nico Santos) start their own firm, determined to show that they’ve still got it and her replacements are just a bunch of whiny snowflakes who dress funny. It’s a generational warfare comedy! Other highlights include the Max/Starz comedy Minx (which we here at TV Guide love), the reliably awesome family film Paddington 2, and the sci-fi blockbuster Dune: Part One. Here’s our list of everything coming to Tubi in February.
