Actor Mahesh Babu’s daughter Sitara Ghattamaneni couldn’t be more excited to see her father step into the world of The Lion King in Disney’s new film Mufasa: The Lion King. Sitara said that she feels there are striking similarities between her father’s personality and Mufasa’s. Sitara Ghattamaneni talks about her father

Mahesh Babu voiced the role of Mufasa in the Telugu version. The production house has released a new promotional video in which Sitara talks about her father working on the film.

“Mufasa is an iconic character in The Lion King, so I’m proud that my father did this movie. He (Mahesh Babu) is a lot like Mufasa in real life. He’s a loving, loving person. , was protective. When I heard the news, I was really proud and excited that he was playing Mufasa. I kept teasing him about working with Disney for the first time on Frozen. ” said Sitara.

In the clip, Sitara also shared anecdotes from her personal life about how Mahesh Babu prepared her for the role and her dog Snoopy.

She said: “He has practiced a lot. He is perfect for this character and this is also his first time. Every time I watch the trailer, I am happy to see him on screen. I can’t wait to see the whole movie. I’m sure he’ll be a great person I really like how Rafiki holds Simba in the first part. My dad used to hold Snoopy like that when he was a baby…now he’s actually playing Mufasa. That is very interesting.”

Sitara concluded the video by expressing her desire for Mufasa’s daughter Chiara to play the role when she grows up.

Mufasa: The Lion King is a prequel directed by Barry Jenkins. Delve into the backstory of Simba’s father. Inspired by the beloved 1994 animated classic, reinterpreted in 2019 by Jon Favreau, the film follows Mufasa from a vulnerable, orphaned lion cub to a fearless and respected leader. It records the process of transformation. Mahesh Babu played the role of Mufasa in the Telugu version, Brahmanandam as Pumbaa, Ali as Timon, Satyadev as Taka, and Ayyappa P. Sharma as Kiros. It has been announced that Tamil actor Arjun Das will be the Tamil voice of Mufasa.

As for the Hindi version, Shah Rukh Khan voices Mufasa and his son Ayan Khan voices Simba. Shah Rukh’s youngest son Abram Khan provided the voice of Mufasa. Pumbaa was voiced by Sanjay Mishra, Timon was voiced by Shreyas Talpade, Rafiki was voiced by Makarand Deshpande, and Taka was voiced by Meiyan Chan.

Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King will be released in India on December 20th in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
