Mahesh Babu voiced the role of Mufasa in the Telugu version. The production house has released a new promotional video in which Sitara talks about her father working on the film.
“Mufasa is an iconic character in The Lion King, so I’m proud that my father did this movie. He (Mahesh Babu) is a lot like Mufasa in real life. He’s a loving, loving person. , was protective. When I heard the news, I was really proud and excited that he was playing Mufasa. I kept teasing him about working with Disney for the first time on Frozen. ” said Sitara.
In the clip, Sitara also shared anecdotes from her personal life about how Mahesh Babu prepared her for the role and her dog Snoopy.
She said: “He has practiced a lot. He is perfect for this character and this is also his first time. Every time I watch the trailer, I am happy to see him on screen. I can’t wait to see the whole movie. I’m sure he’ll be a great person I really like how Rafiki holds Simba in the first part. My dad used to hold Snoopy like that when he was a baby…now he’s actually playing Mufasa. That is very interesting.”
Sitara concluded the video by expressing her desire for Mufasa’s daughter Chiara to play the role when she grows up.
