Samsung is gearing up to launch the Samsung Galaxy S25 smartphone series. The company plans to release its flagship smartphone “Galaxy S25” series next month. Now, ahead of the official launch, a leak has surfaced online suggesting that a potentially life-saving feature could debut on the upcoming Galaxy S25 series.
The feature in question is vehicle collision detection, which is designed to automatically alert emergency services in the event of an accident. The same functionality is already available on Apple iPhones. Apple introduced car collision detection

alongside the launch of the iPhone 14 series, Apple Watch Series 8, Apple Watch SE (2nd generation), and Apple Watch Ultra.
Samsung in the past considered car crash detection using code related to the car crash sensors in older models, but this feature never materialized. However, the presence of a “vehicle collision detection wake-up sensor” in the leaked Galaxy S25 files suggests that the company may finally be ready to introduce this important safety feature.
The leaked files also revealed that the car collision detection system of the Galaxy S25 series is likely to be a “composite sensor.” This means using data from multiple sensors on your phone to provide a more accurate assessment of potential accidents.
This development is particularly noteworthy because car collision detection has also proven to be a valuable safety feature in other smartphones, such as the Google Pixel series. If Samsung does indeed include this feature in the Galaxy S25 series, it would be a huge step forward in increasing user safety.
