Nvidia scientists praise China’s humanoid robots, sparking interest

A video of a humanoid robot created by Chinese startup Engine AI has gone viral after Jim Huang, a senior researcher at U.S. semiconductor giant NVIDIA, posted it on social media platform X asking, “Is this real?” I am doing it.

Fan, who also heads Nvidia’s AI Agents Initiative, said he had seen posts by the Chinese company of “a very natural humanoid gait,” but the new clip was produced by Nvidia. He added that it is difficult to tell whether it is a real thing or not. Artificial intelligence (AI).

Confirming the authenticity of the video, Fan wrote: “There are problems with the way they walk, but we need to send these robots to fight fires (as soon as possible).”
