Bill Scarsguard stars as Count Orlock. Another name is the honorable vampire of retelling the classic Eggers story. The cast includes Nicholas Holt, Lily Rose Depp, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Emma Collin, Willem Dafoe, Ralph Inneson, Simon McBurney and more.
“Nosferatu” has been nominated for four Academy Awards, including Best Cinematography, Costume Design, Production Design, Makeup and Hair Styling. The BAFTA Awards earned the same four categories and original music. Previously, it won the Critics Choice Award and the best cinematography at the National Jury Committee.
“The outfits, sets and unusual, elegant effects captured by Jalin Blaske’s almost colorless cinematography combine to make “Nosferatu” a gorgeous, immersive viewing experience. Still, Eggers relies on lively musical clues and unconventional editing, so the cinema center nightmare never goes well. “Nosferatu” recognizes the classical anxiety of sexual predation, central to vampire lore (to see it bend over Thomas and later Eren, and to see it bent over his appetite body (There is little denying the symbolism of Satan’s worship and the image of the plague-carrying rats, Variety’s chief film critic Peter DeBlag wrote in his review. “Here, the vampire is deed and instead relies on long claws that cast ominous shadows on the land. Appearing every night until he walks the path, Aurlock decides to steal Eren’s virtues. Meet Mangie’s ex-boyfriend. For Egg, it was a mistake to focus so much attention on aesthetics, just to abandon the qualities that once made Orlok very iconic.”
