Iranian actor and model Mandana Karimi, widely known for her appearance on Bigg Boss 9 and for her Bollywood roles in Kya Kool Hai Hum 3 (2016) and Taal (2022), will be starring in the drama Completed a major career shift. Karimi told Hindustan Times how her transition unfolded. “I became a model at a very young age and had to support myself, but I always missed the fact that I couldn’t go back to school,” she admitted. Karimi invited her to explore the field. She took a one-year course in the field and has been active in the field ever since, serving as a visiting professor at various institutes.

The 36-year-old revealed that while she was grateful for her time in Bollywood, she never really loved acting. “Being an actor was never my cup of tea or the industry. I’m grateful for the time I spent there, but it wasn’t something I was hungry for or passionate about,” she says. confessed. Despite the financial temptation, she feels fulfilled in her new career. “Of course it’s hard to say no to money, but I also have a friend who is a casting director who calls me for auditions, and I have to say I can’t afford to spend so much time on it.”

Reflecting on her lifestyle change, Karimi admits that she is enjoying the structure and stability of her new routine. “Now I finish work at the office, go home and go to school. My life has changed a lot, but I love it now,” she said.

Before turning into an academic and designer, Mandana Karimi enjoyed a vibrant and varied career in the entertainment industry. Born in Tehran, she started her career as a model and worked in the international market before turning to Bollywood. Her breakthrough came on Bigg Boss 9 where her outspoken personality won her fans and recognition. Following her stint on the reality show, she starred in the adult comedy Kya Kool Hai Hum 3 (2016), where she showcased her flair for bold and experimental roles. She then appeared in the critically acclaimed Taal (2022), where she shared screen space with actors like Anil Kapoor and Harsh Vardhan Kapoor.
