Disney and Paramount pledge support amid Los Angeles wildfires

As devastating wildfires rage through Los Angeles, entertainment giants are investing millions of dollars to support relief and recovery efforts.

Los Angeles, USA, January 12: As the devastating wildfires continue in Los Angeles, The Walt Disney Company and Paramount Global announce significant financial contributions to support relief and recovery efforts. .

Disney’s $15 million pledge

The Walt Disney Company committed $15 million to support organizations providing ground support. The funds will be directed to organizations such as the American Red Cross, the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, and the Los Angeles Area Food Bank to strengthen immediate response and recovery efforts.

“As this tragedy continues to unfold, the Walt Disney Company remains committed to working together to recover and rebuild from this incredible devastation,” Disney CEO Bob Iger said in a statement. “We are committed to supporting our communities and employees.”

Iger emphasized the deep ties between Disney and Los Angeles, noting that it was the place where Walt Disney began pursuing his dreams and creating stories that resonated around the world. Mr. Iger added, “We are proud to provide support to this resilient and vibrant community during this difficult time.”

Paramount’s $1 million donation

Paramount Global joined the relief effort with a $1 million donation. In a memo to employees, co-presidents Brian Robbins, Chris McCarthy, and George Cheeks said that the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, Cal Fire Foundation, Red Cross, Direct Relief, World Central Kitchen, Best -Outlined initiatives for organizations such as Friends Animals. society.

“Our thoughts are with the affected communities and we remain committed to supporting recovery efforts in every way possible,” Paramount leaders wrote.
