Peacock’s January 2025 begins by celebrating the new year with a long-standing tradition (the Rose Parade) and a recently added tradition (the “Drinking Day New Year’s Special with Seth Meyers”).
At the end of the month, new episodes of Peacock’s reality hit shows Traitor and Love Island All Stars will air, as well as a documentary about the Diddy scandal and new episodes of the sports docuseries Here Come the Irish.

“Lockerbie: The Search for Truth”
The 1988 Pan Am bombing over the Scottish city of Lockerbie was the deadliest terrorist attack in British history and remains the subject of intense scrutiny and speculation decades later. This limited series stars Colin Firth as Jim Swire. Jim Swire is a man who dedicated his life to uncovering the truth behind the bombing after his daughter was murdered along with the other passengers on the plane.
Swire’s efforts spanned decades, and the series follows his campaign as he refuses to give up in pursuit of justice for his daughter and other victims. It is based on Swire’s own nonfiction book, lending credibility to a series that delves into a difficult and still painful historical event.

“The Traitors” seemed to come out of nowhere to become the biggest new reality TV sensation in years when they debuted on Peacock in 2023. Since then, the show has become the most popular reality show on Peacock and one of the most popular shows across the streaming service, winning three shows. Emmy Awards, including host Alan Cumming.
The new season 3 sees Cumming return as host, and features reality TV veterans (he’s appeared on series like Survivor and The Real Housewives) and pop culture luminaries (Zac Efron’s brother and The Real British A mixed cast will appear again. main). All the contestants try to complete different tasks to win prize money, but some are tasked with a secret mission to sabotage the team’s efforts. Although it is a simple format, it has proven to be highly addictive.

“SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night”

NBC has been celebrating Saturday Night Live’s 50th anniversary since the show’s season premiere in September, with many returning cast members appearing in various skits as hosts and guest stars. The celebration continues with Peacock’s new four-episode documentary series, created by Oscar-winning documentarian Morgan Neville, that explores various aspects of “SNL” history.
Each episode has one notable element that has made “SNL” a comedy and cultural institution. The series begins by examining the cast members’ rigorous audition process, followed by an episode about the show’s writers’ room, an in-depth look back at the classic “More Cowbell” sketches, and a look at the 1985-1986 season. I’ll look back. Creator Lorne Michaels returns for the first time in five years. More than 60 contestants, including many “SNL” alumni, are joining us to tell the story of the iconic sketch show.
