The “very modest, very thoughtful” TikTok trend has unimaginably changed the life of the beauty content creator who became a social media sensation earlier this month. According to Merriam-Webster, the word essentially means “low-key, reserved, serious,” but its presence in the larger TikTok context is disproportionate. The world can thank influencer Jules LeBron for being a social media phenomenon. In terms of fan following, you are no longer limited to such a large number.

While many people jumped on board, "modest" The trend's virality dates back to beauty influencer Jules LeBron's TikTok video posted in early August.
Many people have jumped on the “modest” trend, but its virality can be traced back to a TikTok video posted by beauty influencer Jules LeBron in early August.

The “low-key” lifestyle that has exploded online is making waves in LeBron’s world as much as it is on the internet. Recently, celebrities like Jenna Ortega, Jennifer Lopez, Penn Badgley, Lindsay Lohan, and Jamie Lee Curtis have also jumped on the bandwagon of this explosive trend. The butterfly effect caused by the choice of a 38-second video post in early August not only changed the internet forever, but it would literally move mountains in LeBron’s personal world as well.

Jules, who identifies as a transgender woman, recently shared a candid life update in a post on Wednesday, telling her followers (or “divas”) “how TikTok has changed my life.”

“One day I was working as a cashier and making videos during my breaks, and now I’m flying around the country hosting events. And I’m saving money for the rest of the transition period. We’ll be able to cover it,” LeBron said.

Congratulations to the TikToker who is finally able to fund her gender transition and is now very reserved and very careful while also being very comfortable physically.

How did the Demure trend catch on?

LeBron first shared the video on August 5th, and it is now believed to be the basis of the trend. “I don’t come to work with green cut creases,” she said of wearing her makeup in a professional setup.

“When I go to work, I don’t look like a clown. I don’t overdo it and I’m very careful while I’m working. Can you see that I look very presentable? I came to the interview The road becomes the road to work. Many of you go to an interview dressed like Marge Simpson, and you go to work dressed like Patti or Selma.”

After the video gained popularity, she continued her trend of teaching her followers how to be “modest” in subsequent posts on social media.

As of today, her TikTok profile @joolieannie has 1.5 followers and 97 million likes.

Jools details how she was inspired to start these tutorials to achieve a ‘low-key’ vibe, explaining that she was inspired to tackle the theme after initially opting for more dramatic makeup for a previous job. He told CBS Mornings.

“I just wanted to go very natural and not overdo it,” she said in an interview. “…I was really taking inspiration from how I showed up at another job.”

The subject remains shrouded in mystery and uncertainty, as there are no rigorous scales to assess an individual’s “modest” aesthetics, but it is more about self-awareness.

“We’re all in a similar situation. We’re united, like nothing needs to be so serious. Nothing needs to be so offensive. Everything could be so cute You know, we don’t do too much. We just do a little bit. I’m very modest.

She also admitted that making these videos helps “more girls like” her. “I found plus-size, transgender girls having the same experience that only that combination can provide.”

Jules has also experimented with other content over the years. But none were as explosive as the “Unassuming” series.

Jules further elaborated on what it means to be “modest,” arguing that it is a highly subjective state of mind. “Your humility is what makes sense for you. It’s about being mindful and considerate, not just of the people around you, but of yourself and how you present yourself to the world.” ” she said.

More financial resources to help fund her transition to wholehearted self-acceptance, leading her to a point where her personal definition of this theme can finally align with her version of the story. It’s clear that you got support.
