A new report claims that Geekom, a leading mini PC maker, is developing a desktop PC powered by the Snapdragon X Elite chip.
According to a report by El Chapuzas Informatico, the rumored QS1 Pro will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon X1E-80-100 SoC and Adreno GPU with up to 4.6 teraflops.
Similarly, the QS1 Pro also boasts up to 2TB of M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 storage, offering users up to 64GB of LPDRR5-5600 memory.
First Snapdragon X Elite mini PC?
If the QS1 Pro launch speculation becomes reality, it will be the first Snapdragon X Elite mini PC available on the market.
However, Toms Hardware says there are some inconsistencies in the initial leak, stating that the details of the CPU, namely the Snapdragon X1E-80-100, do not match the Adreno GPU’s 4.6 teraflops output capability.
For example, the GPU can only reach up to 3.8 teraflops, according to Qualcomm’s spec document. El Chapuzas Informatico speculates that this may be a typo.
Geekom QS1 Pro: Additional details and release schedule
Beyond the rumored performance metrics, there is more information available online about the QS1 Pro, especially in terms of design.
A leaked promotional image shows a mini PC with a sleek case with a power button, 3.5mm combo jack, and two USB-A ports. The leak also suggests that the QS1 Pro will feature top-of-the-line wireless connectivity, as it is Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 compatible.
At this time, there are no specific details regarding the QS1 Pro’s release schedule, nor is its price.
Prior to this, the most affordable Snapdragon X PC was the Qualcomm development kit. It was originally advertised as launching in June 2024, but Qualcomm revealed in October 2024 that it plans to discontinue the highly anticipated device.
The company said in a statement at the time that the device “does not meet our usual standards of excellence.”
