Former Los Angeles Dodgers star Justin Turner recently won the hearts of fans once again with his response to a touching story shared by a fan on social media. Turner’s dramatic walk-off home run in the 2017 National League Championship Series not only became a memorable moment in baseball history, but also played a key role in a fan’s wedding.
On October 15, 2017, Turner hit a three-run walk-off home run in Game 2 of the NLCS against the Chicago Cubs, leading the Dodgers to an emotional 4–1 victory.
This moment was not only important in the series, but it was one of the greatest moments of Turner’s career and will forever be remembered by Dodgers fans. This home run helped advance the Dodgers to the World Series that year.

On Monday’s X, a fan was excited to watch the game when he was in his college dormitory, and his then-neighbor, now partner, was attacked by someone when he rushed to his aid. I wrote about what I thought was going on. After that incident, they started talking and eventually ended up together.

Justin Turner completed his 16th MLB season in 2024. On July 29, Turner was traded from the Toronto Blue Jays to the Seattle Mariners.
During his short stint with the Blue Jays, he played in 91 games and hit .256/.350/.372 with 31 RBIs and six home runs.
After joining the Mariners, he played in 48 games and recorded a batting average of .264, an on-base percentage of .363, and a slugging percentage of .403. He had 24 RBIs and 5 home runs.
Turner will be a free agent after the 2024 season and is currently looking for a team. According to Sports Illustrated, the Mariners are looking to retain him as a veteran and benefit from his leadership skills.
