Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with foreign ministers from around the world on the sidelines of a meeting in Riyadh where they discussed the latest developments in Syria.
The country’s Foreign Ministry said on Sunday that Hakan Fidan met with British Foreign Minister David Ramy, Egyptian Badr Abdellatti, German Foreign Minister Annalena Barbok, and the new Syrian government’s Foreign Minister Assad Hassan al-Shaibani. announced.
Fidan also spoke with Saudi Arabia’s Faisal bin Farhan, US Undersecretary of State John Bass, and EU foreign policy chief Kaja Karas on the sidelines of the meeting. Officials provided no further information about the meeting.
Fidan said Turkiye intends to do his part to “ease the difficult path” for the Syrian people.

Fidan said that if the YPG/PKK, or SDF, was serious about integrating with the Syrian central government, it should announce its disbandment.
The SDF is led by the YPG, the Syrian branch of the terrorist organization PKK.
He stressed that preserving Syria’s territorial integrity and unity must remain the “main focus.”
