The most viewed record has been updated. For premiere week shows (previously set for Season 1 Wednesday in 2022, with 50.1 million views).
Since its release on December 26, the show’s second installment has already become the seventh most popular non-English TV show on Netflix in record time. Squid Game Season 1 remains at the top with 265.2 million views. and promoted the multiplayer video game Squid Game. #1 action game on the App Store in 57 countries. And there will be more to come. The third and final season is scheduled to be released in 2025.
NFL Christmas Gameday Live also had a big win. Baltimore Ravens vs. Houston Texans (featuring Beyoncé’s thrilling halftime performance and now available to stream as a standalone special) and Kansas City Chiefs vs. Pittsburgh Steelers take first and second place . It came second on the UK TV list with 14.4 million and 14.3 million views respectively. The NFL Christmas games are the two most streamed NFL games in U.S. history.

This home season this year, Belgian’s The Ferry 2 (#1 non-English film, with 6.1 million views) was well-received by viewers, while its 2021 predecessor, The Ferry, was watched with 1.4 million views. It was enough to move up to 8th place. Other movies include Italy’s The Children’s Train (third place among non-English films with 2.3 million views) and Yo-Yo, a documentary about India’s famous singer, music producer and actor that has been viewed 1.1 million times.
