Los Angeles (US), January 22 (ANI): Actor Tom Bryce will be appearing in Claire Denis’ directorial ‘The Cry of the Guards’.
According to Variety, the project also stars Mia McKenna-Bruce, Matt Dillon, and Isaac de Bankole.
The film is based on Bernard-Marie Cortés’ play The Dog and the Black Man and was written by Dennis, Suzanne Lindon, and Andrew Litvak. The story unfolds over one night near a construction site in Senegal. There, a group of workers confront a man seeking justice for his brother, who died at the scene.

The film is produced by Curiosa Films and Vixens in association with Goodfellas and Saint Laurent Productions, with support from Senegal’s Astou Productions and Arte France Cinema.
According to Variety, Bryce recently finished filming as the male lead in Netflix, Sony 3000, and Temple Hill’s “People We Meet on Vacation.” This work is based on the #1 New York Times bestselling novel by Emily Henry.
Prior to that shoot, he shot three projects in quick succession. One is “Plainclothes,” an independent feature film written and directed by Carmen Emi opposite Russell Tovey, based on the true story of an underground “plainclothes” cop who entraps a gay man. It is scheduled to debut at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival. The gritty prison drama Wasteman, co-starring David Johnson, was written and directed by Callum McDiarmid of Agile Films, Lionsgate UK and Bankside. and the long-awaited film adaptation of Ubisoft’s popular video game Watch Dogs, directed by French genre director Mathieu Toury and produced for New Regency opposite Sophie Wilde.
