The chosen ones have acquired streaming homes in the US.
As part of a broad agreement with series creator Dallas Jenkins’ 5&2 studio, Amazon’s Prime Video will become the exclusive US streaming home for the series on Jesus’ Life. Amazon MGM Studios distributed theatrical releases for major installments for the show’s final two seasons, signing a first look series with 5&2 and a film deal.
Prime Video also ordered a scripted series. Selected at The With with Bear Grylls.
Vernon Sanders, director of television at Amazon MGM Studios, said: “Looking ahead, there is a great opportunity to develop additional content inspired by the faith for global Prime Video customers.”
Lionsgate, which has acquired the right to distribute the selected people in 2023, negotiated a license agreement. Attorney Andrew Kramer, CAA and Willkie Farr, represented the 5&2 studio.
The previous seasons selected have already streamed streams on Prime Video, with other streamers also posting shows in the past. The new deal includes exclusive US rights, including three still upcoming seasons of the show. Season 5 will premiere theatrical on March 28th and will debut on Prime Video in June.

In the Theatrical Elements of the Contract, Amazon MGM distributes a lengthy episode about Jesus’ Crucifixion and Resurrection. Jenkins and 5&2 Studios will also develop new series and film projects under the first look agreement.
