Los Angeles:
At least one person was killed and seven others injured when a Tesla Cybertruck exploded outside President-elect Donald Trump’s hotel in Las Vegas, police said Wednesday.
Las Vegas Sheriff Kevin McMahill told reporters that the electric car was parked at the glass entrance of the Trump International Hotel before the “massive explosion.”
Video footage showed a stainless steel truck parked at the hotel’s entrance burst into flames, followed by small explosions similar to fireworks.
McMahill said “one person died inside the Cybertruck” and seven others suffered “minor injuries.”
Tesla CEO Elon Musk said in a post on “It has nothing to do with itself,” he added.
Evil knucklehead chose wrong vehicle for terrorist attack. The Cybertruck actually contained the explosion and directed it upwards.

He earlier said “Tesla’s entire senior team” was investigating the explosion, adding: “We have never seen anything like this.”
Police said they were still working to determine the cause of the explosion.
Musk, who supported Trump in the November election and was nominated by the Republican Party to chair the Committee on Government Spending Reductions, said he would post more information “as soon as we know anything.”
The White House said President Joe Biden was briefed on the explosion and directed his team to provide any necessary federal assistance.
He had been briefed on Wednesday’s car crash in New Orleans that killed at least 10 people.
McMahill mentioned the attack but did not explicitly link the two incidents, saying Las Vegas authorities were “taking all necessary precautions to keep our community safe.”
The hotel was reportedly evacuated.
