The Criminal Court in Ludhiana, Punjab has issued an arrest warrant for Bollywood actor Sonu Sood in connection with the fraud case.
The warrant was issued as Sood by Judicial Magistrate Ramanpreet Kaur of Ludhiana. £Rs 100,000,000, he did not appear in court, ANI reported.
“Sonu Sood has been properly provided with a summon or warrant, but he/she has failed to attend (preventing the way to avoid service of the abdomen or warrant (s)).
The summons were issued in connection with a fraud case filed against one Mohit Shukla by Ludhiana-based lawyer Rajesh Kanna.
The next hearing on this issue is scheduled for February 10th, 2025.
According to a court order issued on January 29th, officers in charge of Mumbai’s Oshiwara Police Station have been instructed to arrest the actor and bring him to the court.
“Sonu sood (s/o, w/o, d/o)r/o h.no 605/606 Residents of Casablanc apartments have been properly provided with a summon or warrant, but he/she has You have failed to attend (to avoid abdominal or warrant service). You are here ordered to arrest Sonu Sood and bring it in before the court.” Read the command.
The order also states, “You have been instructed to return this warrant to 10-02-2025, certify that day and approve the way it was carried out or why it was not carried out. I’m being told to do so.”
Meanwhile, at the forefront of work, Sonu Soud wears the director’s hat in the action-packed thriller film “Fate,” which hits the theater on January 10th.
The film is inspired by a real-life cybercrime event during the Covid-19 pandemic.
