Senior National Basketball Championship: Kerala Women advance to semi-finals

The Kerala women’s team defeated Maharashtra 68-27 in the semi-finals of the Senior National Basketball Championship in Bhavnagar, Gujarat on Friday.

Sreekara led Kerala with 16 points, followed by Irin Elsa John (11 points) and Susan Florentine (10 points).

Kerala will face Delhi in the women’s semi-final. Delhi defeated Chhattisgarh 69-63 in the quarterfinals. In the other semi-final, defending champions Indian Railways will play against Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu beat Madhya Pradesh 77-46, while Indian Railways beat host Gujarat 99-33.
