Two days after veteran actor Satish Shah passed away, all the people from the Bollywood and television industry came together under one roof to pay their heartfelt condolences to the legendary actor. A prayer meeting was held at Jalaram Hall in Juhu, Mumbai, where his colleagues and friends gathered to honor the actor’s remarkable life and career.
The event was attended by prominent filmmakers and actors including Rakesh Roshan, David Dhawan, Shatrughan Sinha, Johnny Lever, Poonam Dhillon and Padmini Kolhapure. Singer Sonu Nigam and Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai co-stars Rupali Ganguly and Sumeet Raghavan were also present at the function and were visibly emotional as they recalled their beloved ‘Indravadhan Sarabhai’.
Actor and producer JD Majethia told reporters gathered outside: “We have performed all the rituals, but we want to celebrate Satish ji’s life. The song he used to sing is the very song we are singing today to celebrate his memory. Satish Shah always wanted us to remember his life with joy and laughter.”

Satish Shah, best known for his iconic role as Indravadhan Sarabhai in the hit comedy Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai, passed away on October 25 due to kidney failure. He was 74 years old.
While Satish Shah was a beloved television personality, he also enjoyed a prolific film career that spanned decades. From Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro to Main Hoon Na, he left an indelible mark on Indian cinema with his impeccable comic timing and charm. He also appeared in a cult horror film by the Ramsay Brothers.
Satish Shah is survived by his wife Madhu Shah.
