This is an important development on the 1,083rd day of the full-scale invasion of Russia’s Ukraine.

The situation for Tuesday, February 11th is as follows:

Fineting

Regional Ikhol Kalchenko said five homes were injured in a Russian drone attack on a northeastern Ukraine city, and five homes were damaged in a Russian drone attack on a northeastern city in Ukraine. Another attack on the buildings of non-residents in Kiev also sparked fire, said Vitali Klitschko of the capital. The Russian Ministry of Defense said the air defense units intercepted and destroyed 15 Ukrainian drones overnight. Seven people collapsed in the southern part of Russia’s Krasnodar region, while the rest were destroyed in the southern and western parts of the country, the ministry said. The Ukrainian forces fired 61 of the 83 drones fired overnight by Russia, but more than 20 unmanned aerial vehicles were unable to reach the target.

Russian Gas & Oil

Moldova Prime Minister Dorin Rosine rejected the European Union’s 60 million euros ($61.8 million) offer to fund the purchase of gas by Transnistria, the country’s pro-Russia breakaway enclave. He said. “Russia has not allowed it to accept European aid for fear of losing control of the region,” Rossine said. Transnistria leader Vadim Krasnoselsky said the Hungarian company is arranging gas to separatist enclaves with “Russian credibility and functional support.” Recean said on February 13th that gas will begin flowing under the arrangement.

Politics and diplomacy

The RIA of the Russian state news agency quoted the country’s deputy minister, Mikhail Gardin, saying that Moscow has not received a satisfactory proposal to launch a ceasefire conversation with Ukraine. Chinese President Xi Jinping has accepted a Russian invitation to attend to commemorate the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany in World War II, Moscow’s state news agency TASS reported. May 9th marks the 80th anniversary of victory. Ukrainian President Voldy Mieselensky will attend a security conference in Munich, as Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine is on the agenda. President Donald Trump’s senior leader in the administration will also be present at the meeting. The meeting is expected to begin on Friday with a side job expected. News website Semafor said that three unknown Western officials have said Trump’s special mission to Keith Kellogg in Ukraine and Russia have prepared options for him to end the war in Ukraine. He said he spoke to his allies. Kellogg is scheduled to visit Ukraine on February 20th, AFP news agency reports, citing sources from the White House.

In a video released by Ukrainian media, Zelensky said that “serious people” from the Trump administration will visit Ukraine ahead of the Munich security conference. Zelenskyy will also be holding a meeting with US Vice President JD Vance at the security conference, AFP reports. Russian vice minister Sergei Riabakov said there was no agreement between Moscow and Washington over high-level contacts between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US Donald Trump. Lyabkov also said that if the root causes of Ukraine were not addressed and the Kremlin was not prepared to talk “equally” then it would be impossible to reach an agreement to end the war. Lyabkov also said all requests brought by Putin in June must meet the conflict with Ukraine before a settlement is possible. These conditions include Ukraine’s falling NATO ambitions and withdrawing troops from the four Ukrainian regions claimed by Russia. The US decision to freeze foreign aid has begun threatening six investigations by the Ukrainian prosecutor’s office into alleged Russian war crimes, Reuters news agency said in a statement that it had eight sources and Ukrainian documents. He reports that he is quoting. The War Crime Probe is valued at $89 million and has funding as at least five projects have been frozen. Alice Zil Edwards, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Torture, called on Moscow to provide immediate and comprehensive medical care to at least eight Ukrainian civilians, originally held in Russia, a native of Crimea. “We need urgent action to protect their lives,” she said.
