As celebs set the internet abuzz with their looks from the 2024 Oscars ceremony, one adorable attendee at the ceremony managed to steal the spotlight. Who do you think it is? Yes, it’s Messi, a 7-year-old border collie best known for his role in the Oscar-winning film Anatomy of Fall.
Messi plays Snoop, Milo Machado-Graner’s service dog, in the film. After Milo discovers his father’s corpse, the film revolves around a complicated murder trial in which Sandra (Sandra Hüller) becomes the main suspect in her husband’s death. Messi has become a global celebrity since the film’s premiere, attending award ceremonies and giving interviews. When he appeared at the Oscars, people immediately started sharing photos and videos of him.

“Anatomy of a Fall” won Best Original Screenplay, and “American Fiction” won Best Adapted Screenplay.
Robert Downey Jr. also won his first Oscar. The actor won Best Supporting Actor for his role in Oppenheimer. “Zone of Interest” won the award for Best International Film. The film “Poor Things” won in three categories: Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Production Design, and Best Costume Design.
Da’Vine Joy Randolph won Best Supporting Actress for “The Holdovers.” Randolph tearfully accepted the award and said, “God is truly great.” The Best Animated Short Award went to “The War Is Over,” a song inspired by the music of John and Yoko. The Boy and the Heron, directed by Hayao Miyazaki, won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature.
