OpenAI CEO Sam Altman will join the list of U.S. tech giants contributing to President-elect Trump’s inaugural fund, a spokesperson exclusively told Fox News Digital.
“President Trump will lead our nation into the age of AI, and I look forward to supporting his efforts to ensure America stays ahead,” Altman said in a written statement.
Altman reportedly plans to personally donate $1 million to the Presidential Inaugural Committee, rather than directly from OpenAI.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Bezos plans to donate through Amazon, and that Zuckerberg was exposed to meth while attending Trump’s Thanksgiving dinner at his Mar-a-Lago mansion in Palm Beach, Florida. He promised to give a gift to her.
Altman, who revolutionized the artificial intelligence industry with the creation of ChatGPT, told “Fox News Sunday” earlier this month that he looks forward to working with the incoming Trump administration and believes it will benefit the United States and its allies. He emphasized how “very important” it is. To be at the forefront of infrastructure that supports cutting-edge AI development, especially in the technology race with China.
“AI is a little different than other types of software because it requires a lot of infrastructure, electricity, computer chips, data centers, and we need to build it here, and we need to be able to build the best AI infrastructure domestically. We will be able to lead the world in technology and capabilities,” Altman said. “I believe President-elect Trump is very good at that.”
“[I]look forward to working with the[Trump]administration on this matter,” the tech CEO continued. “It seems to us that this is going to be very important. This seems to be one of the unusually important moments in the history of technology. And we believe that the United States and our allies will I strongly believe that we need to lead the way.” ”
OpenAI leaders also spoke with FOX Business’ Charles Payne a few days later to further elaborate on the importance of AI to America’s national security.

“This is an incredibly high-stakes gamble. AI is here,” he said, adding, “AI will impact much of what we do… America must lead in AI innovation.” This technology will be used by our enemies. We must use it to protect America’s military.”
Other tech giants who supported Trump throughout the campaign include Tesla CEO Elon Musk. Joe Lonsdale, co-founder of Palantir Technologies. venture capitalist David Sachs; Ben Horowitz and Marc Andreessen, founders of Andreessen Horowitz. and Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, co-founders of cryptocurrency exchange Gemini.
