Shortly after Meghan announced the new Netflix series on Instagram, some royal fans complained that the show was “terrible” and “tone-deaf” about poor people.

The Duchess of Sussex revealed her excitement for the ‘With Love, Meghan Markle’ series on social media, saying she was “so excited” to tell her followers about the upcoming project. “I’m so excited to share this with you! I hope you love this show as much as I loved making it,” she wrote.
However, critics were quick to label X (formerly Twitter) as “entitled” to her and criticized the show’s depiction of a lavish meal that “nobody can afford right now”.

The lifestyle series was first teased in March last year when Meghan launched her brand American Riviera Orchard, and is set to premiere on January 15th.
The trailer shows Meghan at her home in Montecito (though there’s more to quote from the Daily Mail report), preparing meals in the kitchen, picking produce from her garden, and watching Mindy… It shows him chatting with celebrity friends like Kaling. All of this is set to the upbeat tune of Do You Believe in Magic by The Lovin’ Spoonful. Meghan captioned the post on Instagram: “I’ve been dreaming of this moment for so long and I’m so excited to finally be able to share it with you.”
Meghan McCain slams Meghan Markle, saying she’s ‘out of touch’ but ‘in love’
Despite Meghan Markle’s enthusiasm, Mr McCain accused the duchess of being out of step. “I was originally a supporter of Meghan Markle. I thought she was cool, stylish and refreshing. Like the rest of the world, when she disrespected the royal family, my opinion changed. Now she wants to be an American again instead of a British aristocrat, but what she forgets is that Americans want something authentic, raw, and uncensored.” nuked the Duchess.
“All of this, even in the trailers, is highly curated, produced, and out of line. Two terrorist attacks in two days, a major war raging, and Americans running low on groceries. We can’t pay the price. We’re a country in a state of anger, uncertainty, and intensity.”

“This concept is unwise. I would have told her to do a show delivering fresh food to food deserts in low-income areas. Do something to help people, not your own ego.” ” she concluded. “This is why the world hates you, and nothing else. You’re completely and completely tone-deaf at the moment.”
