Bethesda, Maryland-based defense contractor Lockheed Martin said in a statement Wednesday that it has delivered a total of 110 F-35 fighter jets to the United States and its allies in 2024.
The total number of deliveries was at the high end of a range of 75 to 110 jet aircraft delivered, which CEO Jim Teichlett said in last summer’s earnings call.
Lockheed raised its sales goals in July after the Pentagon resumed F-35 deliveries after a months-long pause due to delays in software updates. Lockheed is upgrading the jet under its Technology Refresh 3 (TR-3) program, which improves the F-35’s display and processing capabilities.
Lockheed’s F-35 program contributes about 30% of the company’s revenue.
“Lockheed Martin is committed to advancing and delivering unparalleled air superiority solutions to the United States and our allies, helping ensure America continues to own the skies,” the company said in a statement.
