The 37-year-old fighter, who is known for destroying the confidence of his opponents with his blunt statements, has once again shared his thoughts on his highly anticipated bout with current interim UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall.
Building anticipation for his upcoming UFC bout, Bones also attacked current UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira.

The Rochester, New York, native was also recently seen making public his “hate” for potential next opponent Tom Aspinall. Jones said he finds Aspinall a nuisance, adding that he doesn’t think defeating the English fighter will earn him any accolades or career milestones.
“To beat Tom Aspinall, I’m not going to do it to break a record or even further,” Jones said. “You know, I don’t really like Tom. He’s a great athlete. I admit he’s a bigger threat than Alex Pereira, but I’ve fought against the best players in the world throughout my career. “I’ve played against numbers players all my career, so it’s not about being a threat, it’s just that I don’t like Tom and find him annoying,” he added.
Jones went on to praise Brazilian icon Alex Pereira and is in awe of his honor, especially considering the fact that Pereira is loved by both Americans and Brazilians. He said the win would be his 10th time defeating the UFC champion.
“On the other hand, Alex Pereira’s honor is incredible and by defeating Alex Pereira he becomes the 10th UFC champion I have defeated. It means even more to my legacy and “I think the numbers are incredibly high. Americans love Alex Pereira, Brazilians love Alex,” Jones said.
Dana White confirmed that Jon Jones vs. Tom Aspinall will take place in 2025, stressing that Jones is “not afraid” to fight anyone in the UFC.
