in Instagram post On Monday, actor Johnny Depp warned his followers about an online scam being run in his name.
“Sadly, I have become aware that online scammers have stepped up their efforts to target my fans and supporters,” Depp wrote in the post. “As part of their tactics, they have created multiple deceptive social media and email accounts impersonating me and members of my team.”

To avoid confusion, Depp then listed all the legitimate social media accounts he is connected to, reminding fans that he is not on X (formerly Twitter), Snapchat, or Discord.
The actor writes that he does not “offer paid meetings, phone calls, club memberships, fan cards, etc.” and that he “does not interact directly with fans on social media platforms.”

The “Fantastic Beasts” actor ended his post by repeating, “Neither myself, my team, my agent, nor my family will ever contact you on my behalf to request money or personal information.”
Depp isn’t the only celebrity warning fans about impersonators. January 3rd, singer Kelly Rowland uploaded to instagram Share similar messages.
In an expired Instagram Story, Rowland warned fans to “be careful here” and said messages sent in her name were “FAKE AF!!”
