Washington (US), January 13 (ANI): Actor Jennifer Garner has revealed that she lost a friend in the devastating wildfires that have been ravaging Los Angeles for the past week.
On Friday, while volunteering with World Central Kitchen founder José Andres to feed evacuees from the fires, she revealed that one of her friends from church had died in the fire. .
“I certainly lost a friend. I don’t think we should talk about her yet because it’s really sad for our church. I lost a friend who couldn’t escape in time. ” Garner said during a conversation with MSNBC’s Katie Toole, as quoted by The Hollywood Reporter.
“My heart bleeds when I think of my friends. I mean, I can think of 100 families, but 5,000 homes were lost. I can write out a list of 100 friends I’ve lost.” I feel guilty as I walk around the house, what can I do? What can I offer with my hands and this wall and the security I have? ” Garner said.
The “Catch Me If You Can” actress, who claims to have lived in and around the Palisades for 25 years, said she came to volunteer because she wanted to help and play a role at World Central Kitchen.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, visited World Central Kitchen in Pasadena, California, on Friday to help distribute food and supplies to victims of the Eaton Fire.
According to People, after the couple heard about their tragic experiences with the Los Angeles wildfires, they sought to connect with affected families and provide emotional support.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry thanked first responders, including Los Angeles County firefighters and police. The Duke and Duchess then met World Central Kitchen founder José Andres at a food station, where he praised the relief team.
According to People magazine, the couple has made financial donations and plans to continue supporting the recovery efforts.
Pasadena Mayor Victor Grodo praised the duchess’ visit.
“They want to be as helpful as possible…We visited some of the affected families in parts of the burnt areas of Pasadena and Altadena. “They are very caring people who care about their friends and neighbors,” Grodo said, as quoted by The Hollywood Reporter.
He noted that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, whose Archewell Foundation has a long-standing relationship with World Central Kitchen, had visited the center “anonymously”. “No one knew we were serving food with masks on.”
Many Hollywood celebrities lost their homes in the Los Angeles wildfires, including Paris Hilton, Mandy Moore, Jeff Bridges, and Joshua Jackson.
Fires broke out in the Pacific Palisades, Eaton Canyon, Malibu, Hollywood Hills and other areas around Los Angeles County during Tuesday’s life-threatening storm, according to Deadline.
At least 16 people have died in the Southern California wildfires, and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has received 16 reports of missing people related to the fires, according to Deadline.
More than 105,000 people are under mandatory evacuation orders, and another 87,000 are under evacuation advisories. (Ani)
