Jay-Z is trying every trick in the book to clear the rap and other sexual abuse allegations leveled against him in 2024. The ongoing legal battle adds new layers to the case with new accusations surfacing every day. And amidst the scandal, Jay-Z’s former business partner Damon Dash publicly criticized him.
The Blast reports that Dash used words like “ruthless” to describe Jay-Z and then compared him to the DC Comics villain Penguin.
In an interview with The Art of Dialogue, Damon Dash reflected on his long-running feud with Jay-Z. It started about 20 years ago when they were working together at Roc-A-Fella Records. According to Damon, Jay-Z sabotaged all of his business ventures. He spoke specifically about the events of 2005. Jay-Z has reportedly distanced himself from Rocawear, the clothing brand he co-founded. Jay-Z made this decision right before a major deal with Tommy Hilfiger was finalized. This move for Jay-Z reportedly cost around $40 million.
That being said, The Blast reported that Damon Dash does not share his views on the recent rape allegations. He remained indifferent to the recent allegations, only expressing anger and frustration over the financial hardships he had to go through because of the disgraced rapper.
Meanwhile, as mentioned above, Jay-Z is fighting hard to clear his name. It was recently reported that Jay-Z’s loyalty is only to himself and that he would throw Sean Diddy Combs under the bus to save himself if given the chance.
