It’s a new dawn, a new year, and we feel like we’re getting closer and closer to what’s next for lesbian, queer, bisexual, and transgender characters on television. Mainly, it’s the return of so many shows that I’ve been on. Missing since 2024. So let’s get down to business.

One of the funniest and most surprising queer shows of 2023, the main character has feelings not only for his long-distance ex-girlfriend Dae and boarding school playboy Minho, but also for his dear friend Yuri, who already has a girlfriend. It was about realizing that something was happening. In Season 2, Kitty returns to KISS for new adventures. The Rig // Season 2 // January 2nd
The creators of The Rig hope season 2 will effectively strike a balance between “funny drama” and “tackling the existential debate around climate change.” Season 2 is set on an arctic glacier, where the trapped crew must deal with the emotional and physical effects of the devastating tsunami that destroyed the Bravo. The show will still star queer actor Emily Hampshire and will feature the “sassy butch medic” character Kat (Rochenda Sandal).
Harem // Season 3 // January 25th
Season 3 promises to have the four women at the heart of Harem “standing on the precipice of unprecedented change.” Gail Bean joins the case as Eva, an “aspiring but playful venture capitalist” who begins working with our beloved lesbian character, Ty. I’m really looking forward to this as well. Robin Givens will play the “serious” mother, Jacqueline. Cy loved Season 2, so we’re all really excited for this.
