Jake Peacock didn’t let him stop him from achieving his goals. His latest fight is another obstacle he is trying to overcome.

171: In Qatar on Thursday, February 20th, the British-born Canadian returns to his actions against Shinji Suzuki in a bantamweight Muay Thai match inside Rusail Sports Arena.

Born without the right forearm, Peacock had to face constantly difficult challenges in life and his chosen sport. But it only helped him work to become a better version of himself. It won the Canadian Tournament in 2024 and helped him win the coveted contract to join the roster of the world’s largest martial arts organization.

“The One” fought 58 in his promotional debut on one Friday last April, beating Kohei Shinjo in a thrilling three-round match.

He now debuts in one championship flagship show, where he goes one path: the winner of the Japanese, Suzuki. The size and opportunity of events are not lost in the Peacock.

At a press conference at 171, he said:

“I’m grateful to be here on the world stage, on the world’s biggest platform and among the best strikers in the world. I didn’t let anything stop me. I was born with a little turnip. The Lion, and I will continue to prove that to everyone.”

Jake Peacock is trying to rule Suzuki in one 171

Jake Peacock may have been born without one limb, but he makes up for it with his incredible fighting spirit.

The 31-year-old holds an overall impressive 13-1 record. In an interview with the South China Morning Post, he said that Suzuki may have more experience, but he believes he can still decide on the fight when they squared.

He said:

“He’s experienced guys, he’s fighting heavy boxing and he likes low kicks. But I’m too much for him. I fight wherever I want to take it, and that’s tough for him. It’ll be night.”
