“It’s as big as a school bus!”

Two Fox News hosts and at least one other journalist have taken and shared photos and videos of mysterious drones flying around New Jersey and other parts of the country in increasing numbers over the past few weeks. , one of them said he saw a huge drone. A school bus hovers 100 feet above the ground in Montclair.

“Fox & Friends” host Steve Doocy told his co-hosts on Tuesday that he observed the blimp “on numerous occasions, coming at a low altitude of about 100 yards and flying over my backyard.” I did,” he said. …It keeps buzzing overhead. The scary thing is when they stop. They just hover for a little while. ”

The FBI, New Jersey State Police and other agencies have described it as an “SUV-sized” vehicle that can evade radar detection and has so far eluded any interception efforts, as helicopters are advised to stay away from it. There is a rush to identify this strange aircraft.

Dozens, if not hundreds, of videos and photos have been posted on social media, but the military says they are not U.S. property or property of a foreign enemy. Earlier this week, mayors from 21 towns called on Gov. Phil Murphy to take action.

The story began unfolding early last week in conservative media outlets like Fox News and the New York Post, but gained momentum as unidentified flying objects returned to the area nightly, flying over sensitive infrastructure and military installations. , finally reported by the New York Times. It was reported on Wednesday. A Facebook group for sharing reports and images already has more than 30,000 subscribers.

“Fox & Friends Weekend” host Rachel Campos-Duffy said her family took images of the overpass this week from their home, also in New Jersey. She said she had seen it before and that her children filmed the video she shared on TV.

“This is all everyone is talking about (in New Jersey),” Campos-Duffy said on “Fox & Friends.” “I think what you’re seeing is not the answers. No matter what the governor has announced, it hasn’t been satisfactory. People want more transparency from government, and I think what you’re seeing is that the government is lying. …People are furious about this. Three weeks later, no response.”

Evan Cutler, a New Jersey television host, author and photographer, appeared on Dan Abrams’ NewsNation show this week to talk about his encounter with a “drone on steroids.”

“No one knows what it was, but it wasn’t a drone that people were flying,” Cutler said. “It was the size of a school bus, literally the size of a two-car garage. It kept coming closer and closer. At first I thought it was a plane or a helicopter, but then it was hovering over the forest. …And it’s literally a 40-foot wide by 40-foot wide drone.”

This ship does not seem to have a fixed shape and only appears at night. These aircraft are equipped with flashing FAA-style underside lights that look nothing like civilian or non-commercial aircraft, allowing them to remain airborne for hours, a feat nearly impossible with modern drone and battery technology. It has been observed hovering. Some aircraft may look like fixed-wing aircraft, but they fly very slowly and make no noise. Some have observed “orbs” or single points of light that perform unusual maneuvers.

In addition to New Jersey, drones have also been spotted in Pennsylvania, New York, and parts of the West Coast. The truth is still out there.
