Is Tesla free? Superchargers and other options know all the charging details

Tesla has introduced a high-speed supercharged network to Delhi. The facility is part of Tesla’s second showroom in India and features four V4 superchargers that can offer up to 250kW, as well as four AC destination chargers that offer 11KW of charging. The supercharger is exclusively for Tesla vehicles and cannot be decorated with juices on other vehicles.

To find a charging station, owners can use the Tesla app. The Tesla app provides real-time availability and directions to nearby locations. In addition to Aerocity Chargers, Tesla plans to add more stations to the Delhi NCR, including Gurugram, Saket and Noida.

Tesla offers two different charging options in India. The V4 Supercharger allows ultra-fast DC charging at up to 250kW and is priced at 24/kWh, but AC destination charging slows down 11kW at Rs 14/kWh. This allows users to choose to quickly top up and slow overnight charging according to their needs.

Charging Tesla is easy. Connect the specified charging bay, park, and supercharger cable directly to the charging port of your car. Charging will start automatically. The Tesla Model Y can use the supercharger to earn a range of up to 267km in just 15 minutes. The company claims that five round-trips between Mumbai’s Chhatrapatishivajmaharaj International Airport and the Indian Gateway are sufficient.

Bill payments are fully processed through the Tesla app. Owners may choose to pay immediately or later of the session, but they must complete the payment before starting the next charging session. The app also allows users to monitor charging progress, receive completion alerts, find charging stations, and manage all payments from their smartphones.

Model Y is compatible with other charging stations. In other words, it is not limited to Tesla’s own chargers. Because BMS (Battery Management System) systems are not updated with these providers, the Tesla Model Y may not initially be charged with other chargers. This may be a tooth problem as Tesla makes sure he works hard to connect with as many billing providers as possible.

Tesla launched its first supercharger location in one BKC in Mumbai on August 4, 2025. With the addition of Delhi Air Lati, Tesla’s second showroom also has a supercharger. This is part of a larger plan to establish eight supercharged locations across India, ensuring Tesla owners have reliable and convenient charging access wherever they are.

Tesla also has made design studios accessible in all Indian cities, allowing customers to customize and place vehicle orders directly through the company’s website.

Model Y is currently open for reservations in India, with initial delivery commencing in the third quarter of 2025, prioritizing buyers in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi and Gurugram.

Buyers can choose from two variations.

Rear-wheel drive – offers a range of 500 km, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, priced at Rs 59.89 lakh (Ex-Showroom). Long range rear wheel drive – the 622 km range is 0-100 km/h in 5.6 seconds, with RS 67.89 lakh (ex-sheam).

All new model y purchases come with a free wall connector, allowing for convenient residential charging and reducing your reliance on public charging stations.
