New Delhi: Apple’s iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone SE 3rd generation will be removed from sale in the EU on December 28 to comply with EU regulations requiring all mobile phones to have a USB-C port. There were reports that he would be excluded. These are the last iPhones with a Lightning connector available in the EU. Apple authorized retailers in the EU will continue to sell the products until stocks last.

Why is Apple removing three iPhones from sale?
In 2022, the EU will require all mobile phones and gadgets sold in 27 countries to have a USB-C port to reduce electronic waste. Apple resisted this change, but released the iPhone 15 with a USB connector in 2023 and gradually transitioned all iPads to USB-C.

According to a report spotted by MacRumors, Apple will start selling iPhones with Lightning connectors, iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, and iPhone SE 3rd generation in both online and offline stores in all 27 EU countries starting December 28th. will be canceled. These are the last iPhones with a Lightning port sold in the EU, and Apple authorized retailers will have them in stock while supplies last.

Although Apple typically removes older models from its catalog, the iPhone 14 series will be available for purchase in India through online and offline sellers and will be supported for the next three to four years.
