AI agents showcase the next era of AI and the quantum leap in business productivity. They are ready to deal with the friction of true collaboration across the end-to-end process, one of the biggest obstacles to your business growth and competitive agility.

Accelerate cross-functional operations with specialized AI agents collaborating to automate complex workflows

Every day, your people take too long to adjust their data, decisions, and behaviors across functional silos. AI agents help bridge these silos, so the core processes run perfectly and the entire organization runs more efficiently.

However, gaining this opportunity isn’t about creating plenty of siloed agents across the enterprise that can help to enhance more functional, independent tasks. Instead, it’s about raising and working together to support human collaboration and improving end-to-end processes.

At SAP, we have invested heavily to provide the full promise of AI agents. From the beginning, SAP Business AI has designed and has suite-first principles, ensuring an integrated AI strategy that brings great value to every skill, feature or scenario added to your application and platform portfolio. Masu.

Our generative AI Copilot, Joule offers one seamless integrated experience across suites, a unified user interface across all business functions, and over 1,300 skills to perform work across your organization Provides. You can also ask questions and present business issues. Joule works in every part of your business to solve it like any other solution in your business.

These investments set a strong foundation for realizing the vision of Joule Agents that we first shared with SAP Sapphire in 2024. Joule agents can work with business users in various roles to perform speed, speed and complex functions. Reliability.

With today’s announcement from SAP Business Data Cloud, the foundations of Joule agents are even stronger as AI agents are as powerful as grounded data.

SAP Business Data Cloud equips Joule agents with a single, reliable data layer that breaks down data silos, consolidating data across SAP and non-SAP sources. With SAP Business Data Cloud, Joule agents can access the most complete and contextual datasets, infer more deeply, and act with more insight to solve problems.

Previously announced at SAP Teched in 2024, the SAP Knowledge Graph serves as a semantic bridge between the Joule agent and the SAP Business Data Cloud. The SAP Knowledge Graph reveals the connection between data and processes and helps Joule agents find all the data that is most relevant to ground decisions and actions.

Knowledge graphs are not new concepts, but combining them with new and advanced technologies makes them extremely powerful. SAP Knowledge Graph is rapidly advancing to make Joule agents’ unique, over 50 years of business process expertise available to SAP. Grounding this process allows Joule agents to recognize the context in which they operate, and solve more challenging problems, including multi-step processes across supply chains, procurement, finance, and more.

All of these innovations will turn our long-standing vision of AI agents into reality, making innovations faster in the future. Today we announced that in 2025, a collection of Joule Agents available for readily available across finance, services and sales will be available throughout the SAP Business Suite portfolio.

The announcement includes the expected first quarter availability of the cache collection Joule agent previewed in 2024 on SAP Teched. Cash collection agents analyze disputes, work through finance, customer service and operations, verify details and recommend resolutions. This Joule Agent illustrates the complete promise of Agent AI. This provides a new level of operational efficiency by working professionally to complete complex, multi-step processes that usually take several seconds to hours.

Today’s announcement also includes a new ready-to-use Joule Agent that increases efficiency across multi-step sales and service tasks. This includes Q&A agents who continuously monitor opportunities and customer cases, actively discover questions from approved knowledge sources and surface relevant answers. A knowledge creation agent that automatically identifies new case resolutions and creates structured knowledge articles that expand expertise across the organization. Also, case classification agents that understand the context of cases – for example, even if the word “tax” is not mentioned, they recognize tax-related investigations and route cases correctly to the correct team.

This class of functionally focused Joule agents will become part of Joule’s co-agent architecture, allowing them to team up with other Joule agents to resolve issues across the entire cross-functional process. . For example, when a case classification agent identifies a customer billing dispute, it can route it to a cash collection agent and autonomously kick off the dispute resolution multi-agent workflow. Through this agent teamwork, disputes can be resolved in seconds, but within seconds of receipts, further increasing the efficiency of the process and delighting customers with unparalleled response times.

Additionally, SAP has also previewed the custom agent builder feature in Joule Studio in SAP Build. New Agent Builder can enable users such as citizen developers to create custom agents to suit the company’s unique business needs. Guided, no-code workflows informed by SAP’s business process expertise, ground custom AI agents with business processes and data, allowing problems to be resolved through autonomous actions across customer SAP and non-SAP applications. Masu. The unique foundations provided by Joule, Joule Agents, SAP Business Data Cloud, and SAP Knowledge graphs enable agent builders to help organizations build powerful custom AI agents.

In Jules’s agent, Jules is not just an AI co-pilot, but an AI orchestrator across all organizations. Joule can now adaptively assemble and organize a team of agents, including ready-to-use agents, to perform complex end-to-end processes from multiple business functions. With Joule agents, teams run more seamlessly, work moves faster, and companies run more efficiently.
