HONOR has announced that it will integrate Google’s Gemini AI capabilities into its upcoming smartphones, starting with the HONOR Magic7 Pro and PORSCHE DESIGN HONOR Magic7 RSR. These devices come pre-installed with the Google Gemini app and represent an important step in HONOR’s continued collaboration with Google.

Strengthening HONOR and Google partnership

This integration is part of an ongoing collaboration between HONOR and Google, with already successful projects such as HONOR Magic V3 and Circle to Search with Google on the HONOR 200 series.

Additionally, HONOR Magic V3 leverages various Google Cloud AI tools to provide an enhanced user experience. Notably, HONOR was one of the first companies to support Android 15 beta, demonstrating its commitment to providing users with the latest software updates.

AI capabilities powered by Google Gemini

The global version of the HONOR Magic7 series will be powered by Google Gemini AI and its Imagen 3 text-to-image model. This collaboration introduces several AI-driven features including HONOR AI Notes, AI Photo Expansion, AI Style, and AI Translation. These features are designed to improve productivity, creativity, and user experience.

Google Gemini, an AI assistant built into your device, aims to improve your creativity and productivity. Gemini helps users with tasks such as brainstorming, writing, learning, and event planning through text, audio, photography, camera usage, and more.

Future AI integration into HONOR devices

With the introduction of Google Gemini, future HONOR devices will continue to benefit from continuous updates to Google’s latest AI technology. This integration ensures an evolving AI ecosystem that prioritizes productivity and creativity while maintaining HONOR’s strong commitment to privacy and security.

release date

HONOR has not yet officially announced a release date, but the HONOR Magic7 Pro is expected to launch in the UK this month. The device is already listed in the UK store with a “Notify Me” option, indicating a release is imminent.

Commenting on the integration of Google’s Gemini AI, HONOR CEO George Chao said:

As AI continues to transform the smartphone experience, HONOR is dedicated to bringing the latest AI advances to users around the world. Our strengthened partnership with Google marks a major milestone in making advanced AI more accessible, starting with the integration of Gemini into the upcoming HONOR Magic7 series.
