Definitely the Lunar New Year, China’s largest annual holiday, can be regarded as a national economy barometer. As more than 1 billion people travel, shopping, meals, gifts to family and friends, their tastes and customs draw national consumption for several weeks. This is the seventh story of A Nine part series。

For decades, China had to confront the task of nurturing nearly one -fifth of the world’s population in less than one -tenth ared land.

However, in recent years, Chinese consumers have become even more difficult to recruit Western -style diets that require much more resources to maintain.

Currently average Chinese people Consumes more protein Data from the United Nations Food Agricultural Organization (UNFAO) is shown more than Americans every day, and China’s appetite continues to grow.

In 2021, the average daily protein intake was 124.61 grams (4.4 oz), but according to the latest UNFAO data, the number of US people was 124.33 grams (4.39 oz).

The Chinese people are currently having a much richer protein than the Indian colleagues who consumed 70.52 grams (2.49 oz) per day by the average resident in 2021. It is also much more consumed than Japan and South Korea neighbors.

UNFAO’s report has been found that the changes in the dietary of Chinese people are mainly driven by increasing meat consumption. This is a tendency to be felt throughout the world economy.
