As the new year approaches, it’s time to take a look back at the box office performance of the movies that grabbed your attention at the box office. Pinkvilla has released a list of the top 10 Bollywood movies that have grossed the Indian box office this year.
Stree 2 remained on top among all other big releases this year. This horror-comedy created history by surpassing Jawan at the Hindi box office and emerging as a hit in the industry. But currently, the highest-grossing title goes to Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2. Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s film collected over Rs 585 million net in Hindi and topped among the highest-grossing films of 2024.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again secured the second and third positions with a net collection of Rs 247 million and Rs 240 million respectively. Both the Diwali releases affected each other’s business due to their clashing scenarios, but managed to reach close to Rs 250 crore in all theaters in Hindi.
Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Fighter’ secured the fourth position in Hindi with a net box office collection of Rs 200 crore. Although the film received good reviews, it did not attract as many people to theaters as expected, and box office revenue remained low. This was followed by Ajay Devgn’s Shaitaan which took the fifth position in Hindi by collecting a net profit of around Rs 150 crore. It was a blockbuster venture at the box office.
The list also includes films like ‘Munjya’, ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljaa Jeeya’, ‘Crew’, ‘Bad Newwz’ and ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ which were unexpected hits this year.
