President Trump recently reiterated his long-held desire to purchase Greenland, calling it an “absolutely necessary region” for U.S. security. Greenland’s Prime Minister Mute Egede quickly moved to rule out a deal after former US President Donald Trump again suggested the US should govern Greenland. “We are not for sale,” Egede said directly and firmly, repeatedly asserting Greenland’s sovereignty and rejecting Trump’s controversial proposals.
“Greenland is ours. We are not and will never be for sale. We must not lose our long struggle for freedom,” he said in a statement. Mail reported.
