Irish mixed martial artist (MMA) Conor McGregor remains an important figure in both the sporting and business worlds, despite controversy and legal issues in his personal life.
Mr McGregor was ordered to pay damages last month after a jury in a civil trial at the High Court of Ireland found he had assaulted a woman in 2018.
The former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion’s income comes from a variety of sources, including sponsorships, brand partnerships and investments outside of the sports world.
His transition from MMA to the business world cemented his status as one of the richest athletes in the world. Here’s how much the Irish MMA artist is worth.
Conor McGregor’s net worth is estimated to be around $200 million as of 2024, according to Finance Monthly.
The magazine says this incredible wealth is due to his highly successful martial arts career, lucrative sponsorship deals, and some smart business ventures.
McGregor is well known for his cocky personality and rose through the ranks in the UFC, becoming the first fighter in UFC history to hold two titles at the same time.
In addition to his fighting earnings, McGregor has derived significant financial benefits from his business ventures, particularly his whiskey brand Proper No. 12.
In 2021, McGregor sold a majority stake in the brand for an estimated $600 million, significantly increasing his net worth. He also earned hefty endorsement deals, including deals with major companies such as Reebok, Monster Energy, and Rolls-Royce.
Forbes ranked McGregor as the world’s highest-paid athlete in 2021, reporting that he earned $180 million in that year alone.
