Guwahati: Prime Minister Himanta Biswa Salma said “Team Assam, currently in Singapore” has sent a message that could be conveyed to more than 200 business leaders on today’s Singapore Roadshow.
During Singapore’s visit to landing to Assam’s advantage, the Prime Minister said: Our location, single window clearance, customized incentives, strong law and order, and a disciplined workforce stand as our core USP (unique sales proposal). ”
In addition to meeting business leaders, the Prime Minister met Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister Gang Kim Yong, who emphasized that Assam’s efforts are at the heart of the comprehensive strategic partnership between India and Asia through greater cooperation . “We appreciate the Deputy Prime Minister’s commitment to deepening existing ties between Assam and the Republic of Singapore,” the Prime Minister said.
During the Roadshow, the Prime Minister met with the chairman and CEO of AEM Holdings, Cleantech, Lewie Engineering, Statistics Chippac, PEP Innovation, Temasek Polytechnic and others.
The Prime Minister said, “A situation that was unthinkable a few years ago. Today is a positive environment and has begun unprecedented encouragement for Singaporean investors and partners to set up a unit in Assam.”
He states: “Our vision is to ensure that Assam appears as a global semiconductor hub. To achieve this, we have set up a base for Assam with companies involved in the end-to-end process of semiconductor manufacturing units. We are invited to set up. At the same time, we are implementing large-scale skills initiatives to ensure that the workforce meets industry 4.0 requirements by collaborating with global industries and institutions to establish the World Skills Center. ”
