The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences today announced nominations for the third annual Children’s & Family Emmy Awards, an independent competition recognizing the year’s outstanding television content for young audiences. Winners will be announced at a ceremony in Los Angeles on March 15th.
Animation Judging Individual Achievement winners will be announced early next year, as will the Lifetime Achievement Award winners, ceremony hosts and presenters.
“This year’s nominations are especially meaningful because last year’s strike delayed many of the films eligible for recognition,” said Rachel Schwartz, head of the Children’s and Family Emmy Awards. “I am honored to have been appointed to lead a competition that not only celebrates outstanding talent, but also shapes the way children and their families interact with the world.”
The categories of original paintings are as follows. The complete list of nominees is available at theemmys.tv.
