Since “WWE Raw” returned to being a two-hour show in October of this year, many have questioned whether the format will remain the same after the red brand moves to Netflix on January 6th. While it was reported earlier this month that “WWE Smackdown” would be added to USA Network, which aired an additional hour on Friday nights, news regarding “Raw”‘s runtime remained uncertain until Tuesday morning.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Raw will return to a three-hour format starting next Monday. Going forward, WWE will broadcast eight hours of television each week, with Raw and Smackdown each receiving three hours and WWE NXT maintaining its two-hour format. The three-hour length of “Raw” and “Smackdown” will no doubt be an adjustment for fans who have grown accustomed to both shows being two hours long over the past four months, but it’s important to note that WWE has not changed their schedules or appearances. It should also be possible to introduce stars who have had little time. It hasn’t been featured very prominently lately.
Additionally, “Raw” will continue to livestream in its regular time slot of 8pm ET. But earlier this month, it was announced that Red Brands will be broadcast in real time on Netflix, regardless of location. Previously, “Raw” typically pre-recorded episodes that took place overseas, but now they will be streamed in the local time zone of the country where the show takes place. For example, when “Raw” heads to Glasgow and London in March 2025, viewers in North America will be able to watch the show in the afternoon.
