Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, an estranged couple who went through a glaring divorce, are reportedly neighbors.
The duo’s burning love may be miles apart, but they will never be far from each other as their home is in the Brentwood area. There, thousands of residents, including Ben Affleck, had to be evacuated due to the devastating Pacific Palisades wildfire. After separating from his ex-wife, Affleck bought a house as a “bachelor’s pad.”
According to TMZ, the “Marry Me” actress is hooked on an off-market home, but has serious concerns about air quality. Given that fires continue to ravage Los Angeles County and air quality is poor, the “Selena” actress reportedly hired an expert to check the area before making further purchases. Long-term inhalation of toxic fumes and heavy metals from damaged electronics can lead to chronic changes and respiratory conditions, according to ABC7.
However, other theories include that she is simply adapting to the neighborhood and wants to continue living there. Meanwhile, the residence where the couple lived during their marriage is on the market for $61 million. Lopez regularly checks in on Affleck and his children and wants to be there for any assistance they need, per Page Six.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez were previously engaged in 2002, but it flared up. After 20 years, romance started brewing and the duo got engaged for the second time in 2021. However, Lopez filed for divorce in August 2024, and the pair finalized their divorce in January 2025.
