Joe Rogan recently raised a few eyebrows when he hosted Mel Gibson on his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience. Although the two discussed a wide range of topics, one topic that caught their attention was ivermectin.
For those who don’t know, Logan claims to have used an anti-parasitic drug called ivermectin to treat COVID-19 during the pandemic, and to have been treated under medical supervision. , became a hot topic. An avalanche of criticism rained down on him, with major news outlets and politicians accusing the podcaster of using “horse dewormer” as medicine.
During an episode of Rogan and Gibson’s podcast, the Hollywood legend mentioned that several of his friends tried ivermectin to treat cancer, and after a while, the friends were cancer-free.

The conversation was heavily criticized by medical expert and social media personality Ian Copeland, who posted:
“This is where we are. Actor Mel Gibson and podcaster @joerogan are making claims that ivermectin cures stage 4 cancer. The moment you ask for proof, that’s a problem. Please cite studies showing it is effective.” It does not treat stage 4 cancer. This is not a study on living cancer patients or an animal model. The whole world knows, but there is no proof…”
Former UFC welterweight Jake Shields fired back at Copeland, posting:
“This man (Copeland) claimed that the COVID-19 vaccine was safe and effective.”
What exactly did Mel Gibson tell Joe Rogan about ivermectin?
During a podcast, Mel Gibson made some serious comments about ivermectin. From the tone of his voice, it seems like the Oscar-winning actor and director knows something we don’t. The conversation started with “tell me a story,” which most often means we’re left in disbelief or simply surprised by its ending.
Mr. Gibson said:
“Let me tell you a good story. I have three friends. All three had stage 4 cancer. All three are completely cancer-free now. And they had something serious going on. .”
Logan then asked Gibson what his friend had photographed, to which the Hollywood icon simply pretended he knew.
“They took (make a face) what I hear they took (ivermectin).”
Logan then said he had heard of research on people using a number of alternative drugs, including ivermectin and bendazole, as treatments for deadly diseases such as cancer, and noted that Gibson’s affirmed the claim.
