Simone Biles recently dropped a subtle hint about her gymnastics future during an appearance on the Today show. The American gymnast surprised host Hoda Kotb on the show’s final day with hopes of getting together in Los Angeles in the future.

Biles, the most decorated gymnast, recently completed her run at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Having declined to participate in the previous Tokyo Olympics, her participation in the top competition was described by fans as “redemption.”

Simone Biles won three gold medals and one silver, asserting her dominance at the quadrennial Olympics and making it the second most successful Olympic Games after Rio de Janeiro in 2016.

Biles appeared on the Today show several times and shared a close bond with Hoda Kotb. The 27-year-old made a surprise appearance on Kotb’s final day as host and reflected on their close bond over the years.

When asked about her future plans, Biles hinted at competing in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. Biles said (via Today’s YouTube channel):

“Hopefully we could be together in Los Angeles, whatever that means to both of us.” (2:20-)

Hoda Kotb oozed excitement and beamed with joy when she got the chance to find out the breaking news on the final show after Biles said they were together in Los Angeles. Kotub expressed his support for the gymnast in all her future endeavors, saying:

“I broke the news on my last show. Anyway, Simone, but you’re going to end up in L.A., and whatever you do, I’ll be with you. I’m I love you.”

Since Simone Biles wrapped up her campaign for the Paris Olympics, one of the questions she’s often been asked is about her plans to compete in the next Olympics in Los Angeles. The American gymnast has a positive outlook on competing in future gymnastics competitions and did not rule out the possibility of competing at the Los Angeles Olympics.

After competing in vault at the 2024 Olympics, Biles shared his thoughts in an interview, saying:

“Will this be the last time for me… Definitely Yurchenko’s double pike, I mean, that one kind of went well. So I’m not saying never. The next Olympics will be at home. So you never know. But I’m getting really strong.” “

If Biles competes in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, it will be the fourth consecutive year that an American gymnast has appeared in the Olympics.
