A look back: When Junior NTR turned heads at the Oscars with his tiger-inspired outfit

SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster ‘RRR’ starring Ram Charan and Junior NTR created history after its release on the big screen. The film won an Oscar for the song “Naatu Naatu,” which featured an emotional dance performance by the lead stars. It goes back to the days when Junior NTR became a hot topic after wearing a costume inspired by India’s national animal, the tiger, at the 95th Academy Awards ceremony.
As part of the star-studded delegation representing ‘RRR’, Junior NTR attended the Oscar Awards to celebrate the film’s nomination and historic win for the song ‘Naatu Naatu’. His sartorial choices were a striking homage to India’s rich wildlife and cultural symbolism. The ensemble featured intricate designs that paid homage to the majestic tiger and reflected both grace and strength.

Fans are excited to see Jr. NTR on such a prestigious platform where he will not only represent his films but also draw attention to India’s natural beauty and cultural identity. I did. The tiger is not only a national symbol, but also a symbol of power and grace, making it a fitting choice for an event as important as the Oscars.
Recently, a documentary ‘RRR: Behind & Beyond’ was released in the digital space, giving an in-depth look into the making of this epic film.

This documentary provides an interesting insight into the creative process behind the cinematic masterpiece that depicts the fictionalized story of two real-life Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem.
On the work front, Jr NTR’s last film was ‘Devara: Part 1’ directed by Koratala Siva. The film did impressively at the box office, earning around Rs 414.9 million worldwide.
