Fatah has banned Al Jazeera from reporting from Jenin province.
Al-Jazeera Media Network condemned the “incitement campaign” launched by Fatah in the occupied West Bank against Al-Jazeera and its journalists, especially its correspondent Mohammad Atrash.
The network said in a statement that the “deplorable” campaign was launched due to its coverage of clashes between the Palestinian National Security Forces and Palestinian resistance fighters in Jenin.
The Palestinian National Liberation Movement Fatah, which has jurisdiction over the Palestinian Authority, banned Al Jazeera from operating in Jenin Governorate due to its coverage of continued attacks by Palestinian security forces against Palestinian fighters in Jenin. Al Jazeera further noted that such campaigns could put correspondents at risk.
